Unknown to me my 23 year old son (has his own apartment) got caught with over 200 oxycotin pills on his person and over 100 empty bottles in his apartment. He works at a drug store and over a period of 16 months stole these pills. The street value, according to the report, is just under 1 million dollars. Other drugs (all from this drug store) were also found. Bail was posted for $75,000. This is his first time ever in trouble. What are his chances of doing prison time? I am extremely worried. By the way, he is a grammar school teacher.

is this the same son that walked away from a halfway house several years ago? doesn't sound like he has never been in trouble before.

He is a teacher to our young children! By the way, I hope he looses his job, because I am worried also.

That is a serious narcotics charge. Is this state charges or is the DEA involved.

Street valuations are a crock of bull crap and are done to look good on the PR wire. It has nothing to do with the charges, but it should underscore the seriousness.

Other drugs (all from this drug store) were also found.
Clearly theft and other drug charges are in play.

Chances? I don't know. These are serious charges, and if convicted

I am extremely worried.
You son is either a drug dealer, serious drug user or both. Your concern is justified.

By the way, he is a grammar school teacher.
You should pray this did not involve the school in any way. There could be penalty enhancements involved.

I have to agree with SJ an am astonished how low the bail is. There are going to be multiple felonies charged. This is not going to be a simple possession case.

Hmm, You are a teacher, your son works in a drug store yet you claim he is a teacher.

Yeah with the vast fortune all the elementary teachers I know make, it is like totally surprising that this guy has 2 jobs.

Not that this story isn't covered in the smell of fake-stuff. ;)
