i declined to prosecute at the time of the crime, can i still prosecute is my first question.

heres what happend, I was leaving a bar, was confronted and jumped by another white male, cops were on the scene immediately and saw me fleeing from the attacker, the attacker was cuffed and questioned, i was cuffed and questioned, they released me while paramedics assisted me, i was bleeding everywhere, I explained that i was defending myself, and the the other attacker and his friends were making racial slurs to my black friend. I was trying to avoid/stop the situation and got blind sided.. i explained this to the several officers questioning. I was slightly intoxicated they asked how much i had drankin i informed them 3 drinks, this was in public, Can you tell me what my options are? my black friend is willing to testify he was also assaulted his attackers fled the scene, please let me know what other info can help

Why do you need a defense lawyer?

Were you arrested? What charges if any?

If you were injured, you could sue the person who assaulted you.

YOU don't prosecute, you might assist in the prosecution. You also don't flea, unless you gave the attacker fleas. You flee.

Why would you want to have charges filed now, and yet chose differently then???

How can you not be sure if your nose is fractured? Have you and did you not seek medical treatment? (obviously paramedics don't wheel around x ray machines)

i was cuffed because i was yelling at the officer to get me a first aid kit and he kept asking me questions and i wasnt answering, so they detained me.... i cooperated and the released me, i want to know how well this can go in court and if i can still prosecute even tho i declined to at the time of the scene, i assumed it looks bad saying no and then yes... (i was drunk and not sure if prosecuting was the best idea at the time i just wanted to go home after getting my ass kicked .... any help would be great

well as in making sure i don't get assaulted by this guy again, and not having to pay for the lawyers to get this accomplished. thats why im asking because i declined because at the time i did not know if it was worth it. but i guess i should have said yes and declined later?

im sorry i though i had answered them all.. justice and cash, and yes i think if this kid sees me again he would try to assault me, whats an order of protection?i dont wana sue this guy if im not going to get anything out of it...
