What is the name of your state? Washington State

I have lived in the US for 12 years. I was married to a US citizen that is how I got my permanent resident card. We were married for 7 years and now we are divorced. I am currently engaged again and putting off setting a date till I find out if I have to wait until I become a citizen to remarry or am I legal to marry again with being a permanent resident? My card expires in 2010 will it make a difference when I reapply for my card? Also if I remarry now do I send away for a new card with my new name on it?

You can remarry regardless of your status. However, if you plan to petition for your new spouse, you may want to discuss this with an immigration attorney since your LPR status was obtained through marriage to a USC.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter.
