I'm thinking of buying a condo for myself, my husband and I want to separate and finally get a divorce. we are on good terms and will have a friendly divorce. If I buy a condo now, and we are still legally married, will he have any rights on it? Even if I will be the only owner? Any help will be greatly appreciated

My advice is to never purchase any significant property until after a divorce is final. Rent an apartment until things are dealt with legally, and then buy yourself a condo.

Unfortunately, 'friendly' divorces often start that way, but many of them end up pretty hostile. Do yourself a favor and wait. Aside from the legal battles which might ensue, you may well not be in a position emotionally to make such a large decision.

OR, if she really must have THIS condo, contact the condo seller to see if a lease/purchase deal can be worked out. That would prevent having to move again after the divorce is final.
