What is the name of your state? Florida

My husband is having to file an injured spouse form in order to recieve his portion of the regular tax refund.

My question is will he need to file another one in order to recieve his portion of this year's tax rebate?
Or, will the IRS apply the same form to both the regular refund and the rebate since they are both based on the same tax return?

:) Bump. Just in case someone knows the answer.
Gracie, I am not sure that anyone can answer that question. I haven't seen that particular scenario addressed anywhere.

This is all new territory for us too. I haven't checked the FAQs at irs.gov in the last week or so, so you might check there.

Thank you. There's a toll free number for IRS on the paper that came with the intercept notice, I'm going to call and ask and if IRS can give me an answer, I'll post it.
