Innapropriate Sleeping Arrangements?

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
My soon to be ex husband has my two boys every other weekend by court order.

We currently still have a house together and we're trying to see it; neither of us live in this house but it is still fully furnished and livable.

I feel my ex does not have proper sleeping arrangements for my children--my four year old son has told me on numerous occasions that he sleeps in the bed with his father and his girlfriend. My ex told me there is not enough room for him to sleep anywhere else. Also, I provide a portable crib for my 7 month old son and I've been told that his father makes him sleep in his car seat carrier, which to me is not right considering I provide a crib.

He cannot use the excuse that he has no where to go because our home is still available for him to stay in.

Also, I am receiving child support, but do I need to provide diapers/wipes/formula etc when he has them? I was under the impression that the court took his visitation into account when they came up with the amount he pays for child support.

I should note I am in PA. I think these sleeping arrangements are just ridiculous, but I dont know if I have a leg to stand on if I take him back to court.

buy your son the type of sleeping bag that has an airbag attahced- he'll love "camping" at dad's

Unless your court order requires it, you are not responsible for providing supplies for dad.

The child sleeping with dad and his girlfriend in the same bed is unacceptable. Sleeping with dad, yes, with the girlfriend. no.

Isn't there a sofa, why can't he (the child) or better yet SHE sleep there?

And have you asked dad about the baby sleeping in the carseat?

By the way, I wouldn't rely solely on the testimony of a 4 year old.

I agree with Zephr (as usual)... buy the sleeping bag. Much less expensive than court and your son will have fun with it!

I am sure Dad doesn't stay in "the house" because of the girlfriend, knowing that you would pull the "she can't stay there, because it is my house" card.

Those air mat/bags are on sale at Toys R Us right now. $24.

Also, my son slept in his carseat or bouncy seat a LOT when until he was about 10 months old. In fact, for a long time, it was the ONLY place he'd sleep. He was more snuggled in it, could breathe better since he was elevated... not a big deal.

Boy that sure brings back memories---my now 13 year old slept a lot in her stroller when she was little--that was her her favorite place to sleep.

Several months after she was born we bought two story house. We put an air mattress and sleeping bag in the den for her to sleep on when she got older. (The den was next to our bedroom). The stairs were pretty steep, and we were afraid she might fall down them in the middle of the night should she coming looking for Mom or Dad.

this is only a curiousity question, but could the courts do anything about a young child sleeping in a bed with a parent and the parents significant other? it's like prohibiting a family bed. if it was okay for the mother and father to sleep with the children, then what is the problem with a b/f or g/f situation? granted at the age of 10 it becomes crowded, but at four when a child has a tendency to crawl into bed with the parents why would a judge allow that to be an issue?
