What is the name of your state? NV.When I changed my Homeowners policy to a landl;ord policy I asked the agent to cover theft vandalisim and fire. After evicting A dead beat tenant I found out 24 hours later that the the house had been vandalised. and then the claim adjuster tells me I don't have the theft and vadalisium endorsments. I canot dispute it becouise I don't have a copy of the policy ,It was never sent to me.and I found out the agent who wrote my policy doesn't work there any more and I can't gat in touich with him.?Angry in nevada.I wish I new the law regarding these matters.

The insurance carrier must go by what is in writing.

If you don't have that coverage, then you don't have that coverage.

BUT I think you need to do some serious negotiating with those people!

LL policies don't cover this. You are responsible for making sure that you get a copy of your policy. Instead of asking for a cheap LL policy (DP), you should have purchased the mre expensive business owners policy.

You should have read your policy to make sure these endorsements were included on the landlord's policy, especially if you asked for them. I find 99.999999999% of people have no clue about these coverages unless they have had a prior claim.
