So by that rationale I was stopped and not actually standing or parked. And the law apparebntly states that you can not stand or park next to a vehicle at the curb. That would lead you to believe that you may STOP though/.
Stopping, standing or parking where sign, street marking, or traffic control device prohibits stopping.

Did you not read the website Zig provided?

By the way: You have no case.

Why don't you post the violation code on the ticket. Or better yet, check it out yourself at the nyc.gov website. Then you will know, for yourself, if you should fight the ticket.

Yes I did, read what he sent. thank you for your input as well. sorry if I wasted your time with semantics. But the ticket that I was issued was for double parking not for what you posted there.

If you are going to break stones at least understand the conversation first.

I was ticketed for the code 46 that you quoted from.

I would like to thank everyone for their help. I pretty much knew what was going to be said by sj and curt from reading some of their other posts on different threads.

Actually, Zigner found you the website; he and I both told you from the get-go what you did not want to hear.

Both of us exhibited an enormous amount of patience with you.

Now...go and sin no more.

I stand corrected. thankyou for setting me straight sj. Are you actually a judge in real life. It seems you would make a good sheep herder. Every thread that I read that you post on, has the same advice on it. Be a sheep and follow the flock, dont make waves just keep drudging along and not questioning anything.

Pay the ticket. It is amazing how a lot of people will just do just that with out fighting for what they truely feel is right. Or at least asking someone who might know.

"Truely" doing what you feel is right is NOT the same as having a defense.

No, I am not, in fact, a cranky old hillbilly judge.

I am, in truth, a secret agent for INTERPOL; I'm chic, debonair, young, and sophisticated.

I am stationed in Monaco.:D
