What is the name of your state? Tennessee

My mother-in-law lives in Nashville and was awarded spousal support in her divorce. She has not received it since last April. She is currently disabled and has no money for a retainer fee. I have contacted Legal Aid and ProBono for the state but they do not handle these type cases. I could not find an attorney that would take her case without a large retainer. I have also contacted the disability advocacy office and they could not help either. Any suggestions?

Search the TN Courts site for forms and rules, and file contempt of court against the X.

I also have a few boards listed here for assistance on my problems.

Go to child services and fill out the forms for the state to go after him to enforce him paying the child support. I also am disabled, I will be filing indigency this week in court, perhaps you should do the same, perhaps we can get some free legal aid to get our child support. In the meantime, file with child services in your state, you have nothing to loose. I just did this week. Lynda

Does she know her ex's status? Might he be ill, hospitalized or disabled himself?

Also, has she filed for SS disability?

what on earth are you talking about, the OP only mentioned spousal support not child support, nothing you suggested would help this person.
