In Oregon, can i refuse to print material i find objectionable as the owner of a private business? For instance, can i be a "family-friendly" printer?

As long as your practices are not discriminatory. Race, religion, ethnicity, age, sex, etc
This may not be true as long as you are discriminating a customer and not an employee I would think this wouldn't be a problem.

This is just my ideal I have nothing to support this.

I don't get your point! He can't refuse to print for blacks or Jews, but he can refuse to print porn! As long as his business practices are not discriminatory as defined by the govt!

I agree with that but he could refuse to print something that says "White Power" or "Black Power" correct? I know touchy subject, but I just wonder about where that line really is at.

Yes he can refuse to print either of those. As long as he is not refusing to print for people because they are white or black. An example would be a black person wants a bunch of flyers promoting white hatred, he could refuse. Then another black person comes in wanting a bunch of flyers advertising a yard sale. If he prints those, it would be hard to argue that he refused the first person because of the color of their skin. However if later a white person comes wanting flyers advertising a KKK meeting and he prints them then the argument could be made he was using racist practices. Then he would have crossed the law.

There was a newspaper that only printed good news. It went out of business.

People have clamored for family friendly movies; however, some that the critics reviewed favorably died at the box office.

Remember that your concept of family friendly might not dovetail with someone else's.
