Vehicle on private driveway

What is the name of your state? PA
I am seeking advice on where i can find the law that does not let me keep vehicle(s) on my private driveway if they have expired inspection, no insurance , or expired tags. One of my vehicles is in such of state simple becouse i have no need to use it , and why spend the money (that is my way of thinking). So what happened, I was informed by the police when i saw the notice on my car that it will be towed within 5 days from my private driveway. I called the police , and the cheriff told me that by law they have right to do that.
(something in the words , veicle parked on paved road needs to have all paper work done etc.) First thing , i don't believe him , and i need a proof that such a law exists. I am resident of state of PA. Please help me to find or point me to location where i could view this law, or if it doesn't exist , i will place the car , wait for them to tow it , and will sue them****************************

This is a terrible plan.

If you can't realize why, you should consider not driving anymore.

If you expect to reap big rewards by reckless conduct, think again.

There is a PA statute that allows them to tow your vehicle if it "is operated on a highway or trafficway of this commonwealth".
§ 6309.2. Immobilization, towing and storage of vehicle for driving without operating privileges or registration.

PA Statute also allows local authority's to have rights to tow in certain circumstances... so you will have to check with them.

Many cities will have local ordinances that prevent people from storing "junk" vehicles, and sometimes RVs or boats, on their property. If there are no tags or insurance for your vehicle, it would not be considered driveable as is, and if it is not driveable, it could potentially be considered a junk vehicle, an "eyesore", and possibly a violation of a local ordinance. The ordinance may allow for towing if the car is not insured or properly tagged.

I would, therefore, check your city or township's local ordinances. You can go to their offices and review them there - in fact, the clerks there may even print you off a copy of the applicable ordinance for a small fee.

I doubt, however, that the state has any law regulating vehicles stored on your private property or in your private driveway, so if you are searching for a state law, it may be a futile task.

thank you all for your advice , it looks like this country is taking its laws to the extremes , next thing i will have cops coming inside the house because they feel like it**************...i will have to dig more into this issue , and get the copy of this law. Thanks again.....
