What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Good morning, according to my written lease, it's up at the end of July. I originally paid my rent every 1st of the month. Since last year, I've been paying on the 10th of the month, which is not in writing on the lease. I wasn't given ample advance notice regarding the change, in writing, but was given short notice over the phone; less than a month.

I sent my letter stating I'll be leaving on or before the end of July. I spoke to the flunky Property Manager who told me that my letter should've stated that I would be moving by the 10th of July, not the end of July. He tells me that if I staty past July 10, I'll have to owe July's rent. Is this true? Thanks in advance.

This 10th of the month payment is for the current month, correct?

If so, yep, if you plan to stay until the end of July you need to pay the rent for July.

By paying rent on the 10th every month for the past year, you have made your rental period from the 10th to the 9th, not the first to the last day of the month. So that means you can pay rent until 7/10 or 8/10. You can MOVE at the end of July, but you have to pay for the whole month.

Seems to me that the LL was allowing the rent to be paid for the month no later than the 10th. Doesn't mean it wasn't DUE on the 1st ;)
