What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

Do I still have to pay child support to my childrens father for the summer month that my two sons are with me? I am current at this time.

think of it this way.

Can you stop paying your rent, lights, electricity, water, and cable bill when you go on vacation? No, they are still your bills, even if you aren't "using them" at the moment.

That's quite a bit different, I think. Those are standard bills as is my child support payment, however, what is not a standard bill for me is additional daycare for the month, food and gas (which I'm quite happy to pay in order to have them that month and would do it full time if I could). I was, however, curious.

If you had one of those rare orders where you didn't pay CS during the summer, then you would simply be paying more during the school year. As another poster mentioned, CS is a yearly amount divided by 12. If you didn't pay during the summer, it would just be divided by 11.

Thanks.

I understand now. Next year I will just have to budget for my month if I don't have custody by then. Thank you!
