What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FLorida

I am Pro-Se in my case and filed a Notice of Absence back in April for the week of July 21st. My ex's attorney filed a notice of hearing to dismiss one of my motions during this time frame. I called the GM's assistant and was told because I am Pro-se there is nothing that can be done. The attorney is ignoring my calls..

what can I do?

If I dont show up, I will lose the motion by default

thanks very much

You file an objection to the attorney's motion to dismiss your motion, and you remind the court (within that objection) that you filed a Notice of Absence.

Or, you realize that at this point you are not equiped to represent yourself (because you don't know what to do to respond to motions made by the other party's attorney) and you hire your own attorney.
