What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona I recently bought a car from a private owner. he put the car in a local newspaper ad stating ICE COLD AC. NEW TIRES and RUNS GREAT!!!! that all caught my eyes. I looked at the car it seemed OK the test drive was smooth. the private seller then added, there aren't any problems with the car it runs great just get the oil checked. Off I drove not even a week of having this vehicle did things go wrong I have had the car a little over a month and have put a little over 1,500 dollars into it. The front two supposedly new tires blew out on me! No AC! and obviously not running great if I have had to put over 1500 in repairs
I want my money back that I paid for it 1800 and the 1500 in repairs. I have receipts mechanics statement the car Ad, do i have a chance at getting my money back or am i screwed over in 3300?
THANKS for any advice

Your Welcome

Advice: Next time you buy a used car make sure a mechanic looks at it and performs a thorough inspection.

You test drove the car and it ran "great". New tires can blow out if they run over something. You obviously tested the AC and it was blowing cold.
Enjoy your new car!

one clarification, you have a "chance" of getting your money back. ask the seller if he will give you your money back, he might say yes. doubt it but there is always a "chance"

lol my point was that it seems a lot of people come here to find out what legal action they can take and what rights they have before they even tried asking the other person to rectify the situation. even if the other party doesn't "have" to do something by law, it doesn't mean they wont if asked. :)
