What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin
Hello.. I am not sure if I am asking this question in the right place.. But I have a problem with my Sister In Law posting pictures of our 4 year old daughter on the internet. First of all she does have some special needs issues and isn't really right in the head..
Time and time again I see her post pictures of our daughter on Yahoo profiles, MySpace, Facebook, and other internet websites. They are not offensive pictures, they are clean. In most circumstances I wouldn't care, but she freely gives too much personal information to whoever asks for it. She would give out her home address, phone number, and someone would comment on the picture and she gives out our personal information. I remind her time and time again I wish to not have any pictures posted in the internet. But every few months I eventually find one.
Do I have a right as a parent to demand those pictures be taken off the internet? What legal rights do I have to demand they be deleted? I should at least have some rights.. Are any laws being broken? I assume if the pictures were taken by us, they are rightfully ours.. I am not interested in legal action.. I just want to have a talk with her and tell her this isn't right.
