What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I withdrew from a college-then got another degree-and now I want to go back to the college I withdrew from and get another degree.

I would pay for this out of my pocket.

On the readmission app it does ask for information about all other colleges attended while I absent.

If I left that blank, and went ahead and got another degree by not letting them know about the one I got - is that illegal? Would I get into any trouble if they found out?

Ethically do you think it is just wrong?

**A: and why did you act in such a manner as to constitute a guilty by omission scenario?

Why did you lie by omission?

It could be illegal, depending on the reason for your omitting the previous college degree. If your omission affects financial aid decisions, for instance, it would be illegal.

As for unethical, probably. It depends on your ethics.

Lying of any sort on any application is generally not wise. Discovery of a lie, even a minor one, can have major repercussions.

Good for you!
Now, if you'll answer the simple question posed to you, you will quite likely receive some valuable information. ;)

You mean the question as to why I lied? I dont have any great reason like I was forced to lie because aliens held me captive and threatened to blow up the world. That's why I just want to know if its illegal or not. If It isnt illegal then Im fine, if it is illegal then maybe not.
