What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wa State

Hi. My question is this: My divorce and parenting plan were completed in Spokane County, in Washington State. Last year, I filed and was granted child relocation when I moved my daughter and I down to Florida to marry my current husband. Now, my husband, who is USAF, is being sent back to Spokane. I need to file a new child relocation and parenting plan, all of which I have filled out and ready to go. But I cant get the info from the Spokane County Clerks office of how to go about filing it. Do I use the parenting plan or the residential schedual? Do I have my ex served with the paperwork 60 days before the move, then file it with the county clerk after his 30 days to contest are up? Or do I have to file with the clerks office first? And how do I file from 3,000 miles away? Can I do that by mail??

Thank you so much for your helpful answers!!

Yes, my ex is in spokane. I will tell him when we get the official orders from the military that we are coming back, so far we just have "informal" orders.

I would ask him to take care of the filing and whatnot, but he isnt very reliable, and I could see him botching the filing up just to use it against me later, if that makes sense. So Id rather handle it on my own.

If the EX is still in Spokane I don't see the problem with notifying him and then filing any necessary paperwork when you get back. I can't see him objecting to having the child moved back to his state.

as i looked at it, a judge would think it silly that dad would object to it. i agree with acmb, file a new parenting plan when you get back.

the only time i could see an objection, is if dad secured a job in FL and had plans to move closer to the children based on them living in FL. but that doesn't seem to be the situation here.
