Winning in court on anything is at best a 50-50 chance. Those are horrible odds.

Winning an appeal has even worse odds.

I dislike camera tickets and hope someone takes it all the way up the ladder and gets them ruled unconstitutional.

I also dislike this court proceeding because there is no prosecutor and it puts the judge in the role of the prosecutor.

Anyway, poster, good luck and let us know what happens.

My bet is it will go the other way. It won't be too long before speed cameras become the topic of discussion... Its easy money & why not?

That's the way traffic court is in California. I bet it is pretty tough for judges to try and tread that fine line. But even when they do cross it, most defendants who take their citation to trial do it with the hope that the officer won't show up... When he does, they stand there oblivious to what is being said or done around them.

Cha-ching... More money!!!

Really??? Then why are you always so eager to simply tell a poster that they "have no defense" instead of trying to help them?

Okay; next time I will tell them to get a constitutional lawyer and spend $100K to get the law overturned!

There is no defense to these stupid things...but you refuse to see it.

Just because you are not smart enough to see a defense, doesn't mean a good defense is not there.

I have been involved in about 18 of "these stupid things". So far, I have only lost 1. Pretty good record for not having any defense.

I said I have been involved with about 18 cases... not that I have recieved 18 tickets. Once again, I am left with the lingering question in my head... are you that antagonistic, or are you simply that stupid??? I am leaning heavily towards the latter.

Are you an attorney? (rhetorical question). Armchair quarterback doesn't equal "involvement".
