real problem

i live in Iowa. My friend bought a house and i moved in with her. I rent a room from her and yes there is a lease. Problem is she has made my life a living hell. She told me i could get a dog and in fact she got one and when i asked if i could get mine she said no.
She is always on me about everything, she sends me nasty text msg at work and tell me that she is going to let the dog tear up my things and crap and piss on all my stuff.
she is always on me. how can i get out of my lease?
please help asap.

Give notice and move then hope she does not take it to court. At this point that is your only option. You have given no reason to validly break a lease.
