What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I was stationed West coast before I went UA from the Marines about a year ago, Is it better if I turn myself in back there, or should I take a bus and go straight to Quantico. If I just go to a local recruiter, will they figure it out? If I was to do that, and the recruiter cannot get a chaser to the office before they close, then what happens?
Please serious replies only!

The best advice I can give you as a former MP is to contact your last command. Speak with the commanding officer and advise him/her that you want to turn yourself in. Give them contact information for you and ask what they wish you to do. They may want you to go back to your stationed base. Or, they may contact the nearest base and request a hold until you can be transferred back. It's important to call first because if you have not been charged with being UA, then you're not wanted and you may be turned away. It's similiar to the civilian system of extradition. Contact your command and follow their instructions.

Thank You for your advice. If I was to go to a local recruiter, would they have a better chance up talking with the higher chain of command to find out what I was charged with?, I am pretty sure after a year they already charged me with you.
