The messenger from company named RECONRON, 347-276-5943 is trying to deliver a document package for me. The person refuses to show his ID to doormen of my apartment building, or to leave the package for me. He insists that it has to be done personally and does not drop any hint on what could be inside the package. However he mentioned that the reason to see me personlly could relate to the fact that some states require court papres to be deivered in person. I manage my life pretty neat and lost completely over what it could be. What frustrates me the most is the fact that I am expected to sign for something I have no clue about.
Questions:
Can I refuse to accept the package?
Is there any circumstances under which I have to accept it?
Is there any known practice of such deliveries and what type of legal cases it usually associated with?
Does anybody have any information about company RECONRON in NY?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
