Child support obligations after adoption

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
California. I am the non-custodial parent and I reside in California but my ex and kids are in Springdale, AR. My ex remarried and my kids stepmom petitioned for adoption. It was granted in 2007. I am still currently paying child support and I have no arrears. Should the child stop when the adoption was finalized. Can I get him to pay me back that money he took from late 2007 to present?

If the adoption has been finalized, you should file a motion with the court to end the CS. it's very doubtful that you will be able to get a court to order a refund of the overpaid support, but speak to an attorney to make sure.
