You can find all kinds of support for your argument from PEOPLE WHO DO NOT SCREEN OR LEASE RENTAL PROPERTIES....a legal blurb taken out of context won't help you in the future when you attempt to get another rental property OR buy a house!!

I am always amazed when tenants do not realize that mortgage companies ask THEIR PRIOR LANDLORD for references when they go to get a mortgage to buy their "dream home"...DUDAH!?!

Don't bother arguing with him anymore... The OP is the typical "ask a question, than argue with the responses 'til I get the answer I want to see" troll...
