What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Ok, so I purchase a tv from a (very renowned) site in October and am set up to receive statements via email. They should come in on the 5th of every month and they do in November and December. However, come January I am paying off other things and see the folder I usually move stuff like this in for reminders (other e-statements) contains nothing from said site for the month. I thought I may have deleted it and make a payment anyway. Come February the 5th has passed and again, no statement from them.

I currently am trying to sort it out with the site hypothetically if things continue on can I take some action? I wanted to get a general idea before I start making phone calls, and like I said, I am trying to sort it out first (they haven't gotten back to me yet).

Things I'm thinking of: I actually don't owe anything for 12 months since I used their preferred account. If there was actually a minimum payment I would've considered not paying it. I can pretty much rule out my ISP (filtering emails) since I've had no other trouble with them (Comcast) and receive all other emails from the site I purchased from fine. I have payment confirmations for Nov and Dec, but deleted January's and have yet to make February's.

That's pretty much the gist of it.

I'm saying they're supposed to be sending me statements, and they're not. How is that not clear? Like a credit card company supposed to be sending you statements that a payments is due, but they never send anything. In this case, I used their preferred account and don't actually owe anything for 12 months (benefits of using the preferred), but I am still not receiving monthly statments like I should. I set out a 12 month plan to pay it off and if I don't go off my own memory with these billing cycles it'll f*ck everything up, get it? After 12 months I get charged back interest.

If I can't get this resolved with them, I was wondering if there's anything I can/should do?

:eek::eek:Zigner, you realize that would mean that all the responsibilty of paying this debt on time would be in the hands of the debtor right:eek::eek::eek:

I'm not sure that is a good idea, I mean, then the OP wouldn't have anybody to blame for the repossession of his 52" plasma when he doesn't pay the bill.

Gasp! What was I thinking?!?

Entropy, check your contract with that business. Don't be surprised if one of
the contract's terms says something like, "we don't guarantee you'll get all of
our notices, but we strive to notify you nonetheless."

One problem with relying on others to notify you for something is you tend to
leave yourself at their mercy, especially if they're in a better position to make
their point. One might as well take it upon themselves to keep abreast of any
of their outstanding billings, albeit that's not always easy.

THANK YOU for an actual anwser. These other guys wanna jump on me like I can't handle the responsibility or something. If we wanna whip out credit scores, we can :D

Let me put this in perspective: I'm very neat and on time with things like this. I've set up folders and whatnot to help keep things organized. And ok, fair enough, the emails aren't absolutely positively necessary  I don't need them (I'm here aren't I, on top of it? @ Wirelessany1-- as noted I contacted them before making this thread). But don't yous feel they have some obligation or something to provide a certain level of service when you spend thousands of $$$ on an item? What would you guys do if American Express or whichever CC stopped sending you statements? You just gonna mark the calendar? F*ck no. I'm not jumping the gun yet, I've notified them and I'm not like OMG sue time!1!1!!1 It was just a general inquiry, and I guess I have to read the fine print in the terms to see if they are legally bound or something.

The site is newegg FYI, and I've been spending thousands for years on myself and for clients. This is the first time I've used their preferred account.

My answers WERE actual answers. Unfortunately, you didn't tell us what you WANTED us to say before we answered. Next time, I'll try to tell you only what you want to hear.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Err, constructive then? Your first post showed your lack of comprehension and your second, well...just remember when your CC company stops sending you your statements..you can just keep track of your balances on your calendar! ;)

I could feel that way. But unless I can, say, coerce the other party to see it
my way (which can get ugly), and if other options do exist to solve problems,
then why bother unless one's prepared for its potentially good or bad results?

Note in your comment I quoted above you said certain level of service. Given
that various people have various definitions of various phrases (including that
certain level of service), well...what exactly is that?

Unfortunately that's pretty much dictated by your contract with newegg, w/c
might put them in a stronger position. We may not agree with them out of our
personal principle, but those contracts are valid until a judge says otherwise.

I actually agree with what Zigner posted. I just happen to see it and say it in
another way, which others can (dis)agree with freely.

Speaking of (dis)agree, that's pretty much where it all boils down to. I do not
have to agree with Zigner's or other forum member's methods of getting all or
any points across, but...I've rather managed to learn to read through them to
see if I can get any nuggets out and take the emotion out of it.

Oh, and I don't always get my bank's credit card statements. But I've taken it
upon myself to keep track of them somehow.

Then again, no one else will do it for me anyway unless I maybe pay them.
