What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida. My daughter went to live with mom in 03.She came back with me in june of 05. By law can the arrears go back to 6 of 05 when she came to live with me?

Don't know what happened to my reply to questions.Any way i first filed for child support with dept of revenue in 12/07 after the judge found our M .S.A.null and void in a hearing brought on by dept of revenue for child support in 9/08. judge stated the agrement was contrary to fl law. That agrement was from 03. So in 12/08 i opend a new case with dept of revenue to get a new order for child support. And now they are trying they say to see if her attorney will acept service. So i got a lawyer she is to PREPARE A NEW M.S.A. and my lawyer sent me the new proposed M.S.A agreement and under arrears it goes back to 3/08 so i emailed her to ask why 3/08 and not 6/05 since that is when our daughter came back to live with me.I think it was a typo. My lawyer unfortunately fired the receptionist and is hard to communicate with.My lawyer. And ex wifes lawyer and dept of revenue and my lawyer are all on record as on the case in court house. dept of revenue only represents child support on my case.Dept. of revenue attorney called me and said my lawyer incluided her in the loop to recive info on my child support case.Said she got my ex wifes finicial affidavit my lawyer already gave it to me. thanks. sorry if i posted 2 times

Child support arrears.

You have a duplicate thread going in the Child Custody and Visitation forum.

https://forum.freeadvice.com/child-custody-visitation-37/child-support-arrears-455023.html
sorry about duplicate post. The question that was intended. Was under a new child support order how far back can arrears go back? Ohiogal replied only as far back as the date you first filed. So my question to Ohiogal reply is there a specific law or any case law to support arrears can only go back to date you first filed? And why not 2 years back from date of fileing? Department of revenue says they will go back 2 years. Anyway i still haven't seen or heard law supporting any time frame of how far back child support arrears can go.Best Regards
