What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I am a US Citizen, right now my wife and I are scheduled for an interview this coming March 9 by USCIS because i petitoned my wife (I-485 and I-130), she was a tourist who overstayed. She renewed her Philippine Passport and had a Report of Marriage, they said it will take 6 weeks to process it but they assured us that usually a little bit faster than that. Then we received this letter for Interview by USCIS, my question is that im a little bit worried if it didn't come on time the way we expected it to be. It's the only identification she has and USCIS needs it, can she bring her old passport and the receipt that her new passport is still in process. Please we do need urgent advice. Thank You in Advance.

She can bring an expired passport but did she not ever get her employment authorization document as identification after filing I-485? Did she not ever get a driver's license or state photo ID?

My wife doesnt have any other identification rather than her passport, and she did not received her EAD yet, so is it ok if we just bring her old passport and the receipt that it is still in process in the Philippine Embassy during our interview.

If that is what you have, that is what you have. A current passport is not a requirement for the AOS interview.
