I signed up for an online class so I could graduate, then was overwhelmed with "life" and thought I had withdrawn from the class. I did it over the computer. Then I got a bill for the tuition and told them I had withdrawn, but they had no record of it. They then added late fees and sent the amount to the department of revenue for collection. I have an email from the instructor that says I didn't participate in the class and I also filed an appeal, then the state kept my tax refund. Do I have any recourse?

What did they say when you gave them a copy of the withdrawal confirmation that you printed?

I hate to break it to you but if they dont have any record of you withdrawing from the class then you didnt properly withdraw. Are you absolutely certain you withdrew? Is there ANYTHING on your schedule or transcripts that shows the "W" for the class?
