Out of 7 heirs I’m the only one that elected to keep my shares of stock. The estate attorney will not put them in my name and give them to me. He says that its Louisiana law that the stock remains in the estate account until the estate is closed. Is that true? Where do I find this law at? your state (only U.S. law)?
