What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FLorida

I just got separate a few month ago, and my income of $700.00 biweekly it is not enough to pay the mortgage (house under my name) my mortgage was $1500.00 about a year ago it went up to 2,500.00. as you may see I can not afford the house any more but i have no place to go and my wife took my savings of $3000 and rented an apartment for herself. What can I do? the bank have not served me with foreclosure yet, but I am about 5 payments delinquent. I heard somewhere that somehow I can apply or pay a lawyer to stay at my house for longer (up to a year) I am not even asking that much time, just enough to find another job and save same money to move out
help please!!!!!!!!!
