I live in NC and have a question about Permanent life policy. My father purchased a policy a couple of years ago (with my consent) for a policy that would pay back if i didn't die. The understanding at the time, was that i would get the money when the policy matured.
However...he has since remarried and things have drastically changed. I know i will not see any of that money. I do not want his wife to be able to get one red cent of the money. What are my options? Can i say that i didn't consent to the policy? Can i change the beneficiary to exclude her in some way? Do i even have any rights to get the money for myself?
Thanks for some advice,
Kelly.
