What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? UT
Me (custodial) and my ex are going by Utah visitation guidelines concerning visits. They state word for word:
"(k) Extended parent-time with the noncustodial parent may be:
(i) up to four weeks consecutive at the option of the noncustodial parent, including weekends normally exercised by the noncustodial parent, but not holidays;
(ii) two weeks shall be uninterrupted time for the noncustodial parent; and
(iii) the remaining two weeks shall be subject to parent-time for the custodial parent for weekday parent-time but not weekends, except for a holiday to be exercised by the other parent."
The father works during the week. I doubt he will be able to take the time off of work for summer vacation. If he could and was able to spend time with the child that would be great. However, if he is not able to, can he send the child (5 years old) to grandparents' and aunt's house for the 2-4 week period? They live about an hour away.
A little more background: I get along with the grandparents, but have had numerous problems with aunt. She is overbearing, has no job, lives with her parents, no kids, constantly oversteps her boundaries, was a paralegal so she always interferes in agreements me and father have previously made.
There is even a stipulation in our CO that she cannot interfere or contact me regarding parenting issues because she just inflames the situation that is really none of her business.
I apologize for drifting off the main question...Can he send the child an hour away for summer visitation if he will not even be visiting the child?
