What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? tn
I think I already know the cold hard truth, but I still think its unfair to dd. She has recently been asked to join a fastpitch softball travel team and is excited about it. We've tried to get her father involved but he is uninterested. He said he would work with me on visitation if she has a tourney on his wkend. but this past wkend he has gone back on his word and said he will have her regardless. I feel so crushed for her. Is she SOL when it comes to sports now? I am in no way trying to keep her from his visitation, but its almost like he doesnt care about her as a kid with interests.

Your only bet is to offer make-up time and maybe even some extra time in order to get him to agree. Otherwise, she is SOL unless dad agrees.
One of those after thoughts when getting a custody order.
