What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? tx

hey everyone so i got back from fort sill pcf and everything went fine! i was nervous to go but i got there tuesday afternoon and was out friday at 3. it is such a great feeling to no longer have that worry and anxiety on my shoulders. i am thankful to everyone who posts on this site because they are the only way i knew about the pcf, who to call, and what to expect. it was easy and now im just waiting to get my dd-214. i already have a job on post at a daycare so dont listen when people say a chapt. 10 will ruin ur life. our jag officer even told us that when you apply for a job, unless its a government funded business or a federal job, you dont have to say u were in the military, or you can say u were and u can lie about what kind of discharge you got. he said, and i quote "lie your socks off". so thanks again to those who post their own pcf experiences and gave me the courage to turn myself in.

After your DD-214 is located by your employer you will be subsequently fired for lying. I wouldn't take advice about your future from someone that has such a weak command of her own native language.

Could you define "government funded" as well?

A DD-214 cannot be "located" by a potential employer. It's not even available via the Freedom of Information Act. A potential employer can find out if you served in the military, however they cannot find out the details of ones service without permission.

I do not condone lying, however I do condone the accurate dispense of legal advice.

I also wish I had as much time as you obviously do, to dispense biased opinion over the internet.

I was very general with my verbiage for a reason.

Once an employer sees you have served in the armed forces they will want to see a DD-214.
