What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio

My child gets SSI. Her check comes in care of her father. He kicked us out. He gets SSI as well. He said I can't change her check to come to me even though she is with me. I just have to keep coming to him to get money. The problem is that I can never get in touch with him.

um, you have 2 other threads. please delete them and keep all your questions on the same thread, they do seem relevant.

so who kicked you out, the landlord, or the baby's father?

if you are the legal guardian of the child, you can go down to the SSA office and request a change in benefactors. you may have to show proof. like a custody order.

Just for the record, its a change in "representative payee" not in benefactor.
