What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio

OG I'm hoping you can chime in on this...I posted in GP Rights but I guess you didn't see it.

My son and daughter-in-law's friend (mom) gave custody of her now 13 yo daughter to her parents some time ago. Now DD is living with Mom and everyone agrees that custody should revert back to her. Dad agrees also.

Can they just type something up and make it an agreed entry, or will it be a new filing? Would Stark county have forms they can use?

Stark County does have minimal forms. But most likely not for this. The parties would have to file an agreed entry with motion for the court to sign off on it and then be prepared for one of the three judges or several magistrates to pull their butts into court to testify as to why it should happen.

The above is the website. Not too many things there. There might be something on Summit County's website that can be doctored -- Summit County has a VERY good forms page. They would have to list who all the parties are and how they are involved and fill out a parenting affidavit (which states where the child/children have lived). It would NOT be a new filing -- they would use the old case number. the parties would be the same as on the old case.
