I'm in Pennsylvania...

I recently sold a "fairly new" stove (came with my house - house purchased 13 months ago) on craigslist.com for what I thought was a fair price...I did a fair amount of research on used stoves before listing, etc. Anyway, the folks came, looked over the stove, paid and took the stove.

Two days later they call and tell me that the stove is much older than "fairly new" and that they called Frigidaire got a manufacture date and apparently there was warranty work done to the stove, etc. I had no knowledge of this and as the stove was stainless and black with a smooth top and to me...well, that's pretty updated.

I very politely emailed her back and told her that I listed it for what I thought was a fair price, she had the chance to walk away from the offer, etc. A WEEK later she emails me back (because she was on vacation) and tells me that she wants a partial refund and/or to return the stove.

My question is....is there anything legally that she can do if I - in a nice way - tell her to go pound sand? Its not worth it to me to end up in court over a used stove...however, I have a fair amount of travel coming up and I really dont have time to deal with this. Thanks for the advice!

Just tell her to enjoy her the stove that she bought "as-is".

Then, start using your caller-id and voice-mail features to ignore her.
