What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MN, WY

new thread, new question:
What is child support to be used for? Is it for living expenses (portion of rent, food, etc) or is it for daycare and insurance?

My ex is stating that "What do you think I pay child support every month for? Child support is for the custodial parent (you) to pay for the needs of the child (day care and insurance). That is why I pay $XXX a month and that is what the money is to be used for."

Any clarification or statute quote would help. I've searched Title 20 in Wyoming statutes and cannot find any reference to the specificity of what child support is to be used for.

Thanks!:D

I use mine to pay the Cabana Boy.

As long as the child is clothed, fed, housed and utilities are paid.....

I am asking to figure out whether or not a modification would increase due to child care and insurance since there was nothing to report on the initial order. IE, I wasn't working but they figured I could bring home X, I didn't have any expenses to report.
I am working now, paying child care and also medical insurance. Would a modification take those things into consideration, or is my ex right that child support on his end should be lowered because I make more money now than I did?

Coach, Dooney and Burke and very very soon... Louis Vuitton.
I haven't gotten the nerve to spend money on a Louis. Spending 2-3 hundy on a purse is about as much as I can handle. I'd feel guilty if I spent anymore:p

I did purchase a Michael Kors the other day.

I am serious about this question! He's taking me back to court (or so he says) for a modification of support. I'd just like to be prepared for what the court takes into consideration in Wyoming.

Thanks

I absolutely will be treating myself to a Louis. I deserve it (and I love handbags).

I did replenish my Steve Madden collection this year as well.

should,

Your first question I answered with complete honesty, accuracy and with all legal correctness.

The question you have posed since then will have to be answered by another member, possibly LdiJ or OG, (if they are still not in the boxing ring :p).

once, i splurged and bought myself some training sessions. i still feel guilty over that. but that's a personal problem. :p

i wish i had the guts to buy myself something. i make a point to NOT get my nails and hair done at all the child support and child custody hearings.

CC is the handbag queen!!!!

She even has a handbag that she bought and refuses to wear because it's (1) too cute, (2) completely suede and (3) she's afraid it'll get dirty. A chocolate suede Coach Tote... bought it and it's been in the box, in the dust bag since the day it came home.

I'll break it out this fall... maybe. However, I just bought a top last weekend that it would look GREAT with.

Puhleeze, I get my hair and nails done (although they are done regularly anyway) and walk in in my most expensive bag and shoes. The kid has a closet full of everything.

So???? I go to work everyday and make darn good money. For the record, I was buying the bags and shoes and getting the hair and nails done prior to CS payments coming in.
