Hi There,
My Name is Shane. I'm looking for some advice.
Recently my mother in law was served papers (intended for my wife) about a debt we owe. The papers looked fake, and had no county clerk stamp or anything like that on them. We'd never been served anything before.
Turns out, the papers were real, and now the law firm representing our old credit card company received a default judgement because we were no show.
My question, is what can we do to vacate this judgement?
