What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

Well, my girlfriend is 16 (turning 17 in a few days) is there anyway she can leave her house when she turns 17? She doesn't not want to stay at home, her parents dont speak to her, barely want anything with her because she is dating me, a hispanic. Im only a year older than her. They only want her home until she turns 18, they say that's the age she can legally leave.

Nope.

18 is correct.

(unless she has permission)

Before you ask, no, there is nothing she can do.

She does what her parents tell her to do until her 18th birthday.

Her parents are correct.

And before you ask, if they don't want her to see you, then she doesn't see you, and no, there is nothing you can do about that, either. Not unless you want to risk going to jail.

that makes no sense. I though that at thwe age of 17 she is able to date anyone she wants.

Nope - unless she's emancipated. Which she isn't, and isn't going to be, all things considered.

Help her out - explain to her that the mature adult thing to do is simply put up with it, knowing that this time will pass, and then when she's 18 she can pretty much do what she wants.
