What is the name of your state - Washington

I'm just wondering...since it is not included in determining the amount of child support, why is it necessary to disclose to the courts income of a spouse, or of a significant other that lives in the household?

Depending on circumstances it can be used to determine hidden assets and income as well as imputing income. That is a very simplistic answer.
