What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

My decree states that I must pay my ex-wife 1000.00 per month for 8 years. I have paid 3+ years to her, but in 2007 I lost my job and have not been able to get another one that is even close to the 80K I was making when my divorce was final. Now I am remarried living in Washington State and my divorce was in Colorado. My decree states that the decree is un-modifiable, but there's no way I can pay it. My question is, can they garnish my wages across state lines? My wife has her own bank account, so can they garnish her wages or get to her bank account? What can the courts in Colorado do to me for not paying?

They can garnish your wages, put a lien against any of your property, put you in jail, and various other sanctions.
