REMEMBER....you have to warn people before you do that.....now I have to replace the keyboard for work.....thanks a lot....
Oh honey you are way behind. I believe the current tally of Keyboards/Monitors Subjected To Impromptu Laughter-Induced Showers shows Isabella way in the lead (with about eleventyzillion hundred) with Wireless and myself edging each other out for second place with a not-too-shabby score of twelvetyten.

And I was trying to think of the proper way to say "HBG backs up the rear quite perfectly" but couldn't manage.

Obviously.

:D

:confused:What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Hello everyone I am new to this so I really hope someone can help me.
My Husband and I had this 4yr old child in our care for almost 6 months and different times after that she is not related to us in anyway.
her mother has alot of mental problems, she lost all rights to her first child addmitted to touching this one in all the wrong ways the courts made her take parenting classes and then gave her back to her.
I have seen the little girl last week end she had brusies that she said to me and others at different time and places's that her mom got mad and threw a plastic cow at her and hit her with it.
I have been to social services and was told that since the child was not related to me that she would have to go to foster home.
when she is with my husband and I she does not want to go home she hide and cries, she is afraid of her mother.
so my question is can my husband and I get custody of this child and if so how do we go about doing that. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME HELP HER
I am sorry, but you have absolutely no standing whatsoever to file for custody of the child.

If you really feel that she is being abused and you want to help her then foster care or kinship care is what a court will consider to be best for her.

Of course, you could also apply to be foster parents and follow through on the requirements and hope that she would be placed with you as foster parents, but that is the best that you can hope for, and it could be a long shot.

I will start this by saying I am sorry!
The Father is not in the picture (one night stand) plus he's in and out of prison, and I did report this me and her Grandmother went to Child Services, the Grandmother for what ever reason at the time didn't want to have to deal with the mother again like she had to with the first child.
which I don't understand but thats the case.
the childs aunt on the fathers side was going to try to get her and brought up all these things, they sent her to parenting classes and gave the child back to her.
I have medical records and court records signed by a judge saying she
Paranoid Scitzaphrinc, in and out of the nut house but they say they cant use that stuff.
I am nothing to this child except someone who loves her more than life I have done everything allowed by law and now I am at a loss.
the mother is 26 yrs old and just had another baby (boy) by a much younger little mexican boy.
I pray you tell me there is something I can do.
I have told the Grandmother that if she would get custody of her I would help her raise her in anyway I could so I pray if there isn't anything I can do myself that she will.
Thank You

well, grandma would be the first step.

now, i'd contact social services, let them know on the record you are aware of the situation, that you are well aquainted with the child, and the family. make yourself available. then look into taking whatever foster parent courses are available.

my children's grandmother did this. she able to be a foster mother to 4 boys (all brothers) and had no blood relation to the boys. but CPS worked with her. course they somehow missed the whole husband completely high all the time (long story) but she still has the boys to this day.
