What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ga
We have been trying to purchase a home in our area. A real estate agent has been working with us, and she had shown us in print the offers made by the seller on his house. The seller of the home who I believe is also a broker offered special financing (in print) since he works for a bank. In addition to the special financing, we were supposed to be able to pick out an appliance package. When my husband spoke to the seller directly, while at the bank, he changed everything. He withdrew the offer for the special financing and wants us to get an additional loan to cover the unfinished items in the home such as the toilet, water heater, etc. Aren't those thing supposed to be in the home BEFORE it can even past inspection. We should not have to get a loan to cover things that must be finished in the house to pass inspection. Seems like a bait and switch. There is no way we will pay to furnish toilets, and other and other basics in a house that the seller is supposed to pay. The house is not listed as is. What can we do to get the seller (who is also a banker) to do what he promised he would do in print?
