What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

My husband was laid off earlier this week, and the mother of his 2 children suggested that he try to have his child support lowered while he is looking for a new job. It's time to have it recalculated anyway, so this is a good opportunity to do it. He called the child support division to ask about this and was told he would need to petition the court to modify the order.

We just need to get a little bit of guidance regarding how to go about this. Are there any particular forms that are needed? Our state website has a support calculator that will print off a worksheet for us that may be used in court, so that part is handled.

Thanks in advance.

See if this can help - answer a couple of questions and it should point you to the correct forms:

Court Forms for Self-Represented Litigants

(It would appear that your husband can actually fill out many - if not all - of the forms online and print them out ready to file!)

That is great. I looked on the site briefly, but did not find this page. This should take care of everything we need. Thank you very much!
