What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Background: My ex was laid off in April 2009 we went to court in August for modification of child support. The judge granted her the adjustment but she had to provide proof that she is seeking employment every 2 weeks. At that time we were scheduled to go back to court on November 13th.

I received a letter from my attorney that opposing council sent to him asking that I provide My bank account statements along with statments of any accounts I hold in conjunction with anyone ( I am married). I realize this is pretty standard but they are also asking for cancelled checks and copies of any invoices of any debts I may have and copies of any loan applications I have filled out since January. They have never asked for that before and Im curious as to why they are asking for that now. Also my wife has made deposits into my account because I am not able to cover all the expenses on my own. We do have seperate accounts but she usually makes deposits in my account to cover mortgage. Can the judge count that as income? Its obvious on my statements that those deposits are made to cover debts such as mortgage but Im not sure how that is looked at legally.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank!
