What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina

My girlfriend and I signed a one year lease than ends 12/31/09. We have broken up. The landlord is going to renew the lease in my name only. What notification if any does the landlord need to supply to her?

Thanks for the response. I maybe should have been a little clearer. She is not wanting to leave. I know legally she can stay until the end of the current lease, but how should she be informed or notified that she has to vacate by the end of the current lease. It expires on 12/31/2009....

Thanks

Depending on the (notice) terms of the lease, the landlord can simply notify her in WRITING (usually 30 days before the lease end), the he has chosen to NOT extend or renew her lease... and that she should be moved on or before 12/31/09.
