I was 17, 2 days before my 18 birthday accaully, and was charged with a MIC. We were in a bowling ally parking lot. My friends had been drinking there but i was not consuming there, i had already drank a couple before we got there. Needless to say the cops showed up and rounded everyone up. we denied to have been drinking intitially but soon confessed because it was blatantly obvious with the beer cans sitting around. I told them I had a few drinks before we got there. he gave me a very simple follow the pen sobriety test. In the end i left with a ticket but was never breathalyzed and they didnt give me a blood test. What are my chances of success if i plead not guilty? since the only evidence now i was consuming was the officers testimonies about the sobriety testWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Go ahead and plead not guilty but the officer will testify to that you told him you drank earlier in the day. Chances of success...not so good, but then again, I don't have the crystal ball today so it's just a guess.

If you can get your parents to conclude that in fact you had drank two beers during dinner and lets say afterwards while watching TV [with your parents] you may be let off the hook.

Lucky for you you wont receive this on your permanent record- which is what I would be concerned with if I was you.

So, your advice is to turn a minor misdemeanor into felony perjury? For not only the youth but his parents?

Minor in consumption just means you drank alcohol, even a single sip. They don't need sobriety tests to prove you were intoxicated, the officer probably did that to see whether you were safe to release with a ticket or whether you also needed to be arrested for public intoxication. Your statement to the officer that you drank is certainly enough to support a conviction. That doesn't necessarily mean you should plead guilty, but you should realize that you probably have a mostly uphill battle. So you should try to negotiate a plea to deferred probation if you can. You may also want to hire an attorney.
