What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah
I had $18K (3 rings) stolen from my home. I had $300k "movable" content insurance. I had just receieved a 2.5mil inheritance, and the agent knew I knew NOTHING about content insurance. I was engaged to be married and had a $12k ring on at his office, and showed him more jewelry at my home when he came with the policy. This agent never mentioned any "riders", or "scheduling" of property. I just learned these words when I filed my claim, and found out I would only receieve $4k! My husband was there @ both meetings. I am no longer married to this man, but I do not think he would lie. And if HE knew of scheduling, why didn't he mention it to me? More importantly, why didn't my agent inform me of these things. I am so upset, I am physically ill. I cannot seem to get anywhere with any atty's or the insurance company. They are like, "so sorry, nothing we can do". I asked my agent after I found out about this: "What do you think I had; a $300k couch??" Please help me, PLEASE
