What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OK

My wife bought a wedding band from Sky Facet in September. When I tried it on I noticed it was too big so I called Sky Facet and got an RMA# and sent it back to get a different size. The person said it would only take a few days turnaround time. After I did not receive the ring back in 2 weeks I started calling them to check on it, as I was getting married on November 1st. It was very difficult to get a hold of them, and when I did, they said it got rejected by quality control so they are making a new one. Another week went by and no ring. I started calling them everyday, multiple times a day, usually nobody would answer. When I did get someone they would say that it would ship out that day or the next. Finally it got to be the day before the wedding and still no ring, so I went out to the jewelry store and bought a different one and got married the next day. We went on a honeymoon for 2 weeks and when we got back we saw that FedEx tried to deliver the ring the day of our wedding. Sky Facet knew when we were getting married, I made that very clear on several occasions. Anyway, I checked the tracking # and FedEx returned it to Sky Facet because I was not home to sign for it. I started trying to call Sky Facet to get them to process the refund...same as before...took forever to get to talk to someone, and when I did, they would give me the runaround..."I'll check that tracking info and run that through" or "I'll have Bob the Manager call you tomorrow" I never received a call back from these people, and I have left tons of messages.

We tried to dispute the charge through her bank (She used her check card to purchase), but it had already been more than 60 days since the original purchase, so they said they couldn't do anything. What do we do now? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

When you use a check card, you aren't afforded the same rights as a credit card user. The only way your bank could have honored your claim would have been for reasons of fraud only. Please remember in the future that when you use a check card it is like writing a check.

With regards to this purchase my suggestion is to have Sky Facet send you the ring back. It is paid for so you might as well have it. You have a much better chance selling the ring and recouping some of your money back. Suing will be a headache and probably more costly in the end.

Congratulations on your marriage. Your love for each other is what really matters.

Take care, ana

My Credit With SkyFacet

Hey sorry about your situation.

I purchased a ring from skyfacet.com for my wife when my wifes grandmother passed away about 45 days after the purchase. I explained to them my situation via email which i always got a fast response to and they took the ring back and gave me a credit even though i was past the 30 day return policy.

I had a great experience with them try emailing them. The guy i dealt with was phill.

Thank you.

I sent them another email today, hopefully I'll get a reply. I have sent several in the past and left several voice messages, but have never received a reply. I was thinking about sending a certified letter to them stating my case addressed to the owner.

Thanks again!

I found the owner of the company, Paul Sanar, on Twitter. After a few messages back and forth on Twitter, he gave me his email address. I sent him an email detailing my experience with his company, and he said that he would mail me a check on Sept 14th. Of course he did not. After a couple months of no replies to my emails to him, he found this post that I made back in February, and said...

"We are looking all over the web for any other negative comments you may have written. Until our investigation is over i can not send you a check. you told me you did not write anything but then we found a website on which you did write something."

What I wrote on this page was not negative...it was me just simply stating the facts asking for help. I can't believe that he thinks what I wrote on here has anything to do with the fact that he is openly stealing my money.

He basically agreed that he owed me the money, as it is obvious...he said he was going to mail me a check, but now is not going to. To me, that is stealing!!! I now know why his employees lie to customers...that is what the owner does.

Yes it did. Thank you. I recently wrote a report online stating what happened and sent him the link. He first threatened legal action, then mailed me a check. I am just glad it's over. Been going on forever!
